Experts Say...

In the past year I have presented CalmConnect all over the country at every talk I give. I use it every day with kids in my practice and have yet to see anyone who doesn’t love it and benefit. I have looked at dozens of programs for relaxation, breathing, imagery, etc. and CalmConnect is still far and away the best one!

I have been an Occupational Therapist for 38 years. I have worked with people of various abilities and disabilities, ranging in age from 3 months to 101 years, and across clinic settings to include an acute care setting (hospital), nursing home (pediatric), nursing home (geriatric), home care (pediatric and geriatric) and school settings. CalmConnect has been quickly adopted by teachers, OTs, and parents because it works to calm kids down. I have not seen anything like this in all my years of work. Obviously, I am a big fan of your product. I believe its simplicity, rhythmic music and movement, friendly faces, and visual effects combine to create an incredible experience for those who use it. I know you don’t have research specifically to “prove” it works. However, there is research on the components of this product (music therapy, movement therapies… OT, PT, PhyEd, visual therapy) that could be used to support its use. That is good enough for me.

CalmConnect works! And it works for everyone. It changes the energy in the classroom in less than three minutes. Kids are calmer, ready to work, many of them for the very first time. It brings them into the moment. It brings ME into the moment. It makes me a better teacher and I didn’t think I could be a better teacher…..I will ALWAYS use CalmConnect.

I received a note from school today mentioning that our son (who has very limited verbal skills) looked at the teacher and spontaneously requested,

“I want Me Moves”. Since we are sending our copy to school during the week, and it may be forgotten at some point and/or not be at home or at school when he may need it, we would like to purchase one for his school. We thought it would be a nice holiday gift for the

The children I work with who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders have benefited from CalmConnect in the therapeutic context. The kids are engaged and actively participating with the imitative movement of other people, which inherently is a challenge for them. The metronomic music incorporated into the video facilitates their ability to focus and attend. Following the video I have seen improved engagement with the child’s therapist. Also, improvements in imitative movements of the articulators for improved speech production were noted. Based on the research, it just makes sense to use CalmConnect with kids with ASD. CalmConnect is beneficial in many ways.

When students at Chileda start their day with CalmConnect, they are more engaged and relaxed. The program is beautifully done and everyone who participates, from students to staff, are ready to start the day. It unclutters minds, requires physical activity and increases the ability to focus.

As an occupational therapist specializing in sensory processing, I have been thrilled at what CalmConnect is doing in classrooms, home programs, and direct therapy as it immediately calms and organizes children. Within minutes it calms even nonverbal children with autism in distress! Increased eye contact, decreased self stim, increased vocalizations, increased arm awareness, strength, and alert state are common and consistently seen. CalmConnect has been an exciting addition to the therapy routines!

My children love CalmConnect. They enjoy the music and the people. I find my girls are calm, attentive, and refreshed after CalmConnect; not irritable or distracted as they are with traditional children’s videos.

I’ve been involved with neuroscience as a base of activity for a very long time and I’m so impressed with the foundations that CalmConnect brings. This is a very subtle way to calm and change peoples’ brains and behavior, and they don’t even have to know it! I strongly recommend CalmConnect, and I think as we go forward we’re going to compile a lot more of the neuroscience that relates to this work. It looks like such a simple activity, but it’s really not.

CalmConnect has proven to be an essential therapeutic tool in our Vision Therapy Clinic. All of our patients with Autism engage in it. Research regarding Mirror Neurons gives me hope that CalmConnect is tapping into this process, providing those with Autism an opportunity to more easily understand the intentions of others. I think that all clinics who work with those with Autism should use this wonderful tool.

The transformation in the classrooms have been amazing. The students ask for CalmConnect! The immediate peace that transforms the room is something that has to be seen and experienced. We are using it in pre-k through 3rd grade classroom of various levels (even some low incidence middle school classes).

The apparent simplicity of this program can be deceptive, but the results of frequent or even intermittent use are quite startling. Clinically we are noting changes in calm state, social interaction, expressive language, attention, behavioral organization and imitation, and group unity.
