What is CalmConnect?

  • CalmConnect is an easy-to-use program that has proven successful for thousands of people of all ages and abilities in addressing anxiety, depression, and trauma, whether struggling with self-regulation because of PTSD, illness, or other challenges.
  • This scientifically based, patented social engagement program calms the nervous system, shifting users from “fight or flight” to a more regulated state as it builds social connectedness.
  • As you mirror the movements of the people on the screen (see sample video), the smiles and kind faces (the people in CalmConnect look like your neighbors, friends, family members, and support networks) connect and link us to a larger community, providing safety and affiliation – leading to a calm nervous system.

    How to Use CalmConnect?

    • Choose a sequence (there are 29 three to five-minute videos) and mirror those on the screen. It’s not about imitating the movements perfectly – but engaging in a manner that feels authentic to you. That might just mean watching and listening to the music.
    • CalmConnect works the same if you are able-bodied or challenged with mobility issues(loss of limb, paralysis, etc.). Simply engage in a manner that works for you and feels good. The only way CalmConnect doesn’t work is if you don’t use it.

    There is no “correct” order for using the sequences in CalmConnect. We encourage you to explore the program and find the sequence(s) that feel best to you.

    • Log-in, select a Category (rise, clarity, focus, calm, joy, restore) then select a Sequence (one, two, three, etc.). Select play and follow along as you’re able. See our Quick Start guide for more information.
